🔸Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Iran’s senior negotiator and Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, on Sunday, 25 Mordad, described a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States as “a document of pride and victory in the arena of diplomacy,” and stressed that the United States and Israel “have not achieved any of their goals” in the recent war and that Tehran has emerged victorious.

🔸Speaking at a meeting held on the occasion of Journalists’ Day, Qalibaf said: “With all my being, I announce that we won this war.”

🔸He added: “In an unfair war led by the United States and Israel, our nation stood and fought courageously with an open heart and without expecting anything in return.”

🔸Qalibaf’s remarks come while he did not provide any details about the goals that he believes Washington and Jerusalem failed to achieve.

🔸Iranian officials continue to present this confrontation as a defensive struggle against foreign aggression, and these statements are among the most explicit claims of victory by a senior Iranian official since the end of the war.
