🔻Trump: Yemen’s Houthis have agreed not to attack the United States

Fox News has reported that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, says that Yemen’s Houthis have agreed not to attack the United States; this comes as the group, an ally of Iran, has intensified its war with Saudi Arabia, the United States’ ally.

Trey Yingst, a Fox News reporter who often interviews President Trump, quoted the U.S. president as saying that the United States “is in constant contact with the Houthis and they have agreed not to fight the United States.”

In May 2025, the United States and the Houthis reached an agreement to stop reciprocal attacks through the mediation of Oman. Reuters reported that representatives of the two sides have also met in Muscat in recent days, and the Houthis said they will not target American ships.
