U.S. and Ecuador officials carried out a coordinated operation targeting the criminal groups Los Lobos and Los Choneros and dismantled a transnational network for trafficking illegal drugs and goods.

More than 20 people were detained in this operation, and the following were discovered and seized: Weapons Vehicles A small aircraft Ammunition Bulletproof vests Communications equipment Cocaine and synthetic drugs U.S. dollars

Ecuadorian authorities also identified and destroyed two clandestine airstrips that were used for international drug trafficking.
