🔶 UAE reports interception of two ballistic missiles launched from Iran
The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates said that its air defense forces on Tuesday, August 18, identified two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the UAE.
One of the missiles landed outside the UAE’s territorial waters, and the second landed inside the country’s territorial waters.
In a statement, the ministry said that UAE armed forces are in full readiness to respond to any threat and that they will “firmly deal with anything that undermines the security of the country.”
The statement did not mention casualties, damage, or any attempt to intercept the missiles.
The statement said: “The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that it is fully prepared to deal with any threat,” and added that the UAE will continue to protect its sovereignty, security, stability, and national interests.
