🔻US media say Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will soon be equipped with gloves that deliver painful electric shocks.

According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement intends to purchase thousands of gloves of this type from a manufacturing company. These gloves can be ordinary gloves for police patrols, but they become electrified with the press of an electric button.

Similar technology has been used in some prisons and U.S. police stations. Civil rights activists have expressed concern that Immigration and Customs Enforcement already uses excessive force and lacks oversight and accountability.
