🔻 Yemen’s Houthis say they attacked Saudi-backed forces in Marib
Yemen’s Houthis said they were responsible for an attack on a military base in the province of Marib on Friday. The area is under the control of the Yemen government supported by Saudi Arabia.
According to Agence France-Presse, a Yemeni military source said that eight military personnel were killed in the province.
Yahya Saree, a spokesperson for the Houthis, said in a statement, referring to the military base: “The Saudi enemy continued to mobilize and incite its forces... As a result, these forces, along with their stockpiles, vehicles, and military equipment, were targeted at the ‘Sahn al-Jinn’ base by a large number of missiles and drones.”
Recently, tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia have intensified.
The Houthis, who are supported by Iran, control parts of the northern regions of the country and have been engaged in a war with government forces supported by the coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
