🔶 Continued attacks by Yemeni government forces on Houthi positions

Yemeni government forces, which receive support from Saudi Arabia, on Monday, August 17 (Mordad 26), reported in a post on the X network about a new attack on Houthi militia positions.

The post said that Yemen’s government forces targeted the “gatherings and hideouts” of the Houthis in various locations in Al-Jawf Governorate. The Yemeni government has been recognized by the international community.

On Sunday, August 16 (Mordad 25) as well, Yemen’s government forces said that, following an escalation in fighting with the Houthis, they carried out 181 military operations against positions of the group supported by the Islamic Republic in the past 24 hours. In this regard, it was announced that dozens of Houthi militia members were killed and wounded.

According to statements by a spokesperson for Yemen’s government forces, these attacks were carried out in response to the Houthis’ continued attacks on civilians, non-military infrastructure, economic centers, ports, and positions of government forces.

After the start of attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran, the Houthi militias resumed their attacks against Saudi Arabia and ships belonging to this country in the Red Sea.
