Yesterday, Hungary scrambled two Gripen fighters after a drunk man stole a Cessna 172 and entered restricted airspace near the Paks nuclear power plant.
The 24-year-old man, without permission, took the aircraft from Kalótszai Airport and then made an emergency landing in a sunflower field near the city of Göd, about seven kilometers from the power plant.
Police said that after landing, the man tried to flee and then attempted to take control of a vehicle belonging to a driver, but was stopped before that. He was ultimately arrested and transferred to authorities for questioning.
