🔶 31% decrease in passenger traffic at Dubai airport amid Iran war

According to Reuters, Dubai International Airport saw a 31.3% decrease in passenger traffic in the first half of this year. The airport’s operating company said the decline was linked to widespread disruptions caused by the war in Iran affecting flights in the Gulf region.

Dubai Airports said on Wednesday, August 26 (September 4), that Dubai airport hosted 13 million passengers in the second quarter and that total passenger traffic in the first six months of the year reached 31.5 million people. In the same period last year, the figure was 46 million.

Based on this report, the number of flights in the first half of the year also reached 150,600, showing a 32.1% decrease compared with the previous year.
