🔶 قالیباف: A viewpoint that talks about war has no solution to end it

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of parliament, on Sunday, 29 Shahrivar (September 20), in a virtual meeting in his pre-agenda remarks, said that the Islamic Republic in the past seven months has shown that it is not helpless against what he called “aggression,” and at the same time, in the field of diplomacy, it has declared its positions as “clear, rational, and non-negotiable.”

The speaker of parliament, in another part of his remarks, emphasized that a viewpoint that talks about war but has no solution to end it, and by rejecting engagement and diplomacy, takes the country toward attrition and endless war.

Ghalibaf, in response, also criticized a viewpoint which, according to him, underestimates Iran’s national capacity and calls for accepting the other side’s unilateral conditions.

Ghalibaf said that he believes “one must both fight and negotiate.” He also said that the messages and conditions of the Islamic Republic have been conveyed to the other side through intermediaries.
