Abu Dhabi National Oil Company said one of its vessels was hit by a missile early on Saturday while passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE’s official news agency reported that the company added there were no reports of casualties and the situation is under control.
The UAE news agency did not publish details about the vessel’s name, its cargo, any possible damage, or responsibility for the incident.
The attack took place one day after ADNOC said that since the start of the war, 15 company vessels have been targeted with missiles and drones while transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.
On Friday, ADNOC said that despite efforts to meet customer needs, it has been “severely damaged” by attacks on its personnel and assets.
Taking today’s incident into account, the number of ADNOC vessels targeted reaches 16.
