According to Amir Hossein Saebti, a member of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s parliament, the leaders of the Arab states on the Persian Gulf littoral that host U.S. military bases, “from the Al Khalifa to the Al Nahyan to the Al Saud,” must, alongside officials of Israel and the United States, be “targets of revenge.” He claimed that these countries were involved in the assassination of Khamenei “in this war,” and said that a number of senior officials of the Islamic Republic “apologized to the Arab countries on the fifth day of the war,” after U.S. bases were targeted.
