The director of Al-Mukha port in Yemen said that the port’s commercial and maritime activities have been suspended following recent Houthi attacks.

According to Reuters, he said on Saturday, August 15, that in the past few days more than 25 missiles struck the port.

According to the port director, the attacks killed seven people and caused damage of about 16 million dollars.

In this regard, Yemen’s coast guard had earlier also announced that following two consecutive attacks by Houthi militants on a cargo ship near the Bab al-Mandab strait, at least six people were killed and 10 others were injured.

According to the report, in the first attack, four members of the crew of the “Tihama” ship initially lost their lives, and then in the second attack, two members of the rescue forces were killed.

The Yemen coast guard said the first attack caused a fire on the cargo ship carrying food supplies, and the second attack targeted the location of rescue and relief operations, which, in addition to the killing of two aid workers, led to the injury of a number of personnel present at the operation.
