Ahmad Midari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare in the government of the Islamic Republic, said on Saturday the seventh of Shahrivar during a trip to Fars province that, in addition to a military war, the Islamic Republic is also involved in an “economic war,” and that the government, alongside other pillars of the ruling system, is trying to be the “absolute winner” in this war as well.

Midari said: “Today we are engaged in an economic war. In the military war, the enemy was unable to defeat us.”

He added that the United States accepted in the agreement items that it had previously not been willing to accept, but now is not sticking to its commitments.

Midari said: “The United States is a covenant-breaker and does not want to remain bound, and today, through violations of the obligations it had accepted, it is seeking to make economic moves.”
