Barak Ravid, a reporter for Axios, citing an official from Gulf countries, reported that Saudi Arabia has presented reforms to propose to Oman and the Islamic Republic regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

According to this official, Riyadh was concerned that the proposed text would effectively entrench a new situation in the Strait that would not be acceptable to Saudi Arabia and other members of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
