〰 Brig. Gen. Dado Bar Kalifa has been officially introduced as the next commander of the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) Central Command.

Katz, Israel’s defense minister, approved the appointment after endorsing the Chief of Staff’s proposal, Brig. Gen. Eyal Zamir.

Bar Kalifa is expected to take the post in 2027, “subject to an assessment of the operational situation.”
