🔶 By condemning Iran’s attack, the UAE denied the targeting of the Al Manhad base
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates condemned a new Iranian drone attack on the country and called it “a dangerous escalation of tensions” in the region.
In a statement issued on Monday, 9 Shahrivar, the ministry said the UAE strongly condemns Iran’s “hostile attack” against the country. According to the UAE, the drone launched from Iran was intercepted by this country’s air defense systems over the UAE’s territorial waters.
The statement emphasized that the UAE reserves for itself the “full and legitimate right to respond” to this attack.
Meanwhile, the UAE Ministry of Defense, in a separate statement, also rejected the claim by the Iranian Republic’s army about targeting the “Al Manhad” base in this country. As reported by Agence France-Presse, the ministry confirmed the air-defense systems’ response to “a drone” fired from Iran.
The Iranian army had claimed in the morning of Monday that it targeted the Al Manhad base—the location of American forces and equipment—with “dozens of attacking drones.”
