Danny Danon, Israel’s representative at the United Nations, welcomed new U.S. sanctions against the Islamic Republic and thanked Donald Trump, the President of the United States, and Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary.

On the X social network, he wrote that increasing economic pressure on the “terrorist regime” in Iran and those who help with its aggressive actions is a “major and necessary step.” Danon added: “Iran and its supporters must pay the price for their actions.”
