🔺Duolingo stopped its language test for Iranians
▪ The Duolingo English Test will be suspended starting from September 10 not only in Iran, but for all holders of Iranian identity documents worldwide.
▪ Based on the company’s official notice, the new restriction goes beyond blocking geographic locations and applies to all applicants who intend to verify their identity using passports or identity documents issued by Iran—regardless of whether they live outside the country.
▪ Accordingly, “the Duolingo English Test will not be available in Iran starting September 1.”
▪ Duolingo’s new policy is based on “user identity,” so changing the address using internet tools or even being physically outside the country will not help.
