🔺 Expulsion order for two University of Tehran students confirmed

▪ The president of the University of Tehran reported that the expulsion order for Amir Mohammad Karimi and Mahiar Eftekhari, two Bachelor’s students of polymer engineering, has been issued on the alleged charge of “insulting the flag of the Islamic Republic.”

▪ These two students had previously also been sentenced, in absentia, to two terms of expulsion from studying. Sources close to the case say that pressure from Basij students played a role in the formation of the case and in speeding up the process.
