🔻Fars: The ruling to expel three students from Sharif and Shahid Beheshti universities has been approved

Fars News Agency has reported that the Central Disciplinary Committee of the Ministry of Science, after seven months, has approved the “expulsion” rulings of three students from Sharif University of Technology and Shahid Beheshti University.

According to this report, Fariborz Kahnzad, a student of Industrial Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, has been sentenced to expulsion and a five-year ban on education for the charge of “creating disturbances and unrest at the university.”

Parniyan Khodabakhshi, a student of Materials Engineering at Sharif University, has also received an expulsion ruling because of what is described as “bringing the Lion and Sun flag.”

In addition, Alireza Jafarzadeh, a student of International Political Economy at Shahid Beheshti University, has been expelled from the university for the charge of “leading unlawful gatherings, creating clashes, giving speeches, and chanting rule-breaking slogans.”

Fars wrote that Parniyan Khodabakhshi and Alireza Jafarzadeh, if they show “regret,” may be sentenced instead of expulsion to three academic terms of suspension from education, with their years of service/attendance counted.

Based on the same report, in Mordad (August) the Ministry of Science had also issued an expulsion ruling for Reza Dalman, a former graduate student of the Master’s program in Computer Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, on charges of “disrupting public order and educational security at the university” and “insulting Islamic and national sanctities.”
