France’s foreign minister welcomed Pakistan’s continued delivery of messages between the Islamic Republic and the United States.

Based on a statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot met with Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s foreign minister, on Monday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In the meeting, Barrot emphasized the need for the “broadest possible negotiations” to help ensure energy security and “a sustainable response to Iran’s threats in the nuclear, ballistic, and regional domains.”
