🔺 Vance: Trump is trying to prevent the reconstruction of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program

▪The U.S. vice president said that the Islamic Republic, after the United States’ attacks on its nuclear facilities, does not have the ability to build a nuclear weapon in the short term.

▪JD Vance, in an interview with Newsmax, said: “If Iran were to try, could it build a nuclear weapon tomorrow? No. Could it build one in six months or a year? No.”

▪He said that U.S. forces destroyed three of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities, and preventing the rebuilding of this program is the second phase of the U.S. administration’s efforts.

▪Vance added: “What the president of the United States is trying to ensure is that they do not have the resources and infrastructure necessary to rebuild, so that they still cannot build a nuclear weapon two years, three years, or 10 years from now as well.”
