🔶 Germany’s chemical industries an unexpected winner of the war in Iran

The consequences of the war in Iran have damaged Asia’s chemical industries more than Europe—an outcome that has unexpectedly benefited German companies.

The Ifo economic research institute affiliated with the University of Munich announced on Friday, 6 Shahrivar (28 August) that the crisis-hit state of Germany’s chemical industry has suddenly improved, and that for the first time in four years, chemical companies in this country have assessed the current state of their business in August as positive.

The current situation assessment index for this industry rose from minus 14.6 points in July to plus 11.6 points in August. The institute said the reason for this improvement is disruption to the supply of Asian products due to the war in Iran.
