🔸 Global shipping route changes amid the expansion of the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz

As tensions between the United States and the Islamic Republic continue, the shadow of the Strait of Hormuz crisis remains heavy over the passage of ships through this waterway. The risk of attacks and security threats in this strait has led shipping companies to change the routes of their vessels.

Citing the "Joint Maritime Information Center," the Gulf News outlet reported on Monday, August 10 (19 Mordad) that the likelihood of a deliberate attack in the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days was assessed as "very high."

According to this report, since March 1, 84 confirmed incidents have been recorded in this strait. The latest case was an attack on a tanker on August 8 (17 Mordad). The report states that tanker traffic in both directions through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to single-digit figures.

From Mordad 15 to Mordad 17, 40 ship passages coordinated with the United States were recorded.
