🔸 Hagset: We can continue Iran’s naval blockade for an indefinite period
U.S. Defense Secretary (war) Pete Hagset says the U.S. Army can continue the blockade of Iran’s ports for as long as necessary.
According to Reuters, Hagset told reporters in Panama on Thursday, 22 Mordad, that: “The U.S. Navy can continue such a blockade for an indefinite period, because we will bring ships in and out on a rotational basis, just as we have done so far and as we will do.”
He also called reports about poor conditions on the aircraft carrier “USS Abraham Lincoln” “completely false and distorted.”
The U.S. defense secretary said: “We make sure that at every moment, every ship, crew and captain has access to everything that we can provide for them. Some missions are longer than others, and I have more respect and appreciation than anyone for those sailors.”
Hagset added: “What they do in those open waters, those tough conditions, with fewer stops in ports, is exceptional.”
