The ‘Hawke’ fire in the hills around Reno, Nevada, in the United States expanded on Saturday, 31 Mordad, to more than 42 square kilometers, and Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency for Washoe County. Lombardo wrote in a post on social media that the fire was “spreading rapidly and threatening homes and structures.” The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said that about a thousand homes are at risk and that evacuation orders have been expanded. Aerial images recorded from a plane over Reno show thick columns of smoke near the city.
