The head of the armed group “Badr” and a prominent member of the Popular Mobilization Forces asked the militias supported by the Islamic Republic to postpone retaliatory operations against Saudi Arabia.

Hadi al-Amiri, in a video message, claimed that for Iraq’s “supreme interests,” they should refrain from seeking revenge over what he described as “an American and Saudi aggression.”

Following attacks by militias affiliated with the Islamic Republic on Saudi facilities, the country, with the participation of the United States, targeted their positions in Iraq on the seventh of Mordad. President Trump has said that these attacks were carried out in coordination with the Iraqi government.

The Popular Mobilization Forces claims that in these attacks, more than 50 militia members were killed and wounded, and it has promised retaliation.
