Iranian government spokesperson: With unity, we will pass through this difficult crossing
Fatemeh Moghajerani, the spokesperson for the Iranian government, in response to the announcement of new economic pressure by the United States against Iran, said that with “maintaining unity, as in past days, we will pass through this high-pressure crossing.”
Ms. Moghajerani wrote in a post on the social network X: “The government and the president, with wisdom and seriousness, will lead the country through this phase as well. We do not deny economic difficulties.”
Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury secretary, today, in a press conference, announced details of the largest economic campaign against the Islamic Republic. The sanctions campaign has been named “economic isolation.”
The U.S. Treasury secretary listed five key areas in these sanctions, which include cryptocurrencies, technology, gold, aviation, and shipping.
