The dollar exchange rate, alongside the onset of U.S. economic pressure, was fixed above 200,000 tomans
🔸The price of the dollar in Iran’s open market currency market on Monday, September 2, registered a fresh record and rose to 204,000 tomans. The price of gold also set a new record, and each so-called Emami gold coin reached more than 222 million tomans.
🔸This comes while on Sunday, the dollar’s rate had, within an hour, also reached a new record of 200,000 tomans, and then fell to 199,700 tomans.
🔸Since Donald Trump, the U.S. president, announced new policies to exert economic pressure on Iran, the upward trend in the prices of foreign currencies and gold in Iran has intensified.
🔸The establishment of new records for the prices of foreign currencies and gold in Iran’s open market occurred on the day the U.S. pressure program against Iran began, and also following the United Arab Emirates’ announcement to halt any commercial and financial dealings with Iran.
