🔶 Italy extends Schengen suspension with Spain

Italian media reported on Monday, August 31 (September 9), that the right-wing Italian government will extend the suspension of the Schengen agreement on freedom of movement with Spain for at least another 15 days.

Earlier, Italy had suspended the implementation of part of the Schengen agreement with Spain from July 31 for one month. Rome took this step in response to the large influx of migrants into Ceuta, Spain’s territory in North Africa.
