🔶 Macron and bin Salman meeting in Paris over the situation in the Strait of Hormuz

Emmanuel Macron, President of France, will host Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, in Paris during a two-day trip that begins on Sunday, 1 Shahrivar (23 August).

According to Reuters, citing officials from the Élysée Palace, the leaders of the two countries are expected to discuss plans related to the development of alternative routes for the Strait of Hormuz.

According to these officials, the proposals include increasing trade through Oman’s ports outside the Persian Gulf, expanding or doubling the capacity of oil export pipelines in Saudi Arabia and other locations, and also building new rail lines.
