Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government in the Islamic Republic, said on Tuesday the third of Shahrivar that the decision of the UN Security Council to accept and sign the agreement, with coordination among the heads of the three branches, the armed forces, and other sectors, was made based on “collective wisdom.”

By saying that the majority of members, taking into account “wisdom, dignity, and expediency,” accepted the agreement, he said: “The signing of the agreement was not out of fear and submission, but was shaped on the basis of logic and awareness.”

He also said: “The enemies thought that by creating unrest in Dey and then carrying out a major attack over the course of a few days, they could bring Iran to collapse, but the unity and cohesion of society prevented this goal from being realized.”

Pezeshkian also called economic pressure one of the United States’ strategies to force the Islamic Republic to submit and said that Tehran will not yield to these pressures.
