Masoumeh Taherkhani, an economic analyst, referring to reports about disruptions at the borders and increased use of land routes, said these routes cannot replace maritime trade due to logistical constraints and low capacity. She also said that Turkey is currently taking “an monopoly fee” from Iran.
She added that financial routes are also being blocked at the same time, and the decline in incoming export dollars and the increase in the cost of imports could impose “a severe inflation wave” on Iranian consumers by the end of the year.
