Militants of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), backed by the United Arab Emirates, captured the border town of Qeisan in Sudan’s Blue Nile region, near the Ethiopia border, alongside the “Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North” (SPLM-N) faction led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu.

The RSF and SPLM forces used Ethiopian territory as a base for operations, which allowed them to cross the border unexpectedly.
