🔺New warning about the continuation of attacks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on commercial shipping

▪The Joint Maritime Information Center announced attacks and harassment by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

▪Based on this statement, these actions include radio contact with vessels, the deployment of drones flying over them, and targeted surveillance of commercial ships.

▪The center wrote that such behavior shows the Islamic Republic wants to maintain its presence on key routes and apply pressure on ships transiting through them. The level of threat in the maritime region of the Middle East has been assessed as “severe.”

▪Based on the same statement, the related operational activity, including projectile impacts and explosions near them, has continued on the southern Oman routes between Lima, Khasab, and Qamzar.
