🔸Ismail Baqai, Spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said on Monday, 19 Mordad, that Iran and the United States do not hold talks with each other, and that only an exchange of messages takes place between the parties.

🔸Baqai added: “We do not have talks with the United States. The exchange of messages is natural; it takes place through intermediaries about current issues.”

🔸The remarks confirm the statements made by Donald Trump, the President of the United States, who said that the U.S. has limited contact with Iran.

🔸Trump said: “We only have limited negotiations with them. We’re just watching Iran—with its severe inflation and the fact that it doesn’t have money… In the end it will be fixed. It’s always like that. It’s like a chess game.”

🔸Baqai also said that Iran and Oman have agreed on a “traffic map” in the Strait of Hormuz. He also added that talks between the two countries have been “very constructive.”
