🔻 Pezeshkian: We are not looking for war, but we will respond firmly to the aggressors

Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, said before leaving Tehran for Kyrgyzstan that the Islamic Republic “is not seeking war,” but “will not remain silent” in the face of any act of aggression and will provide a firm response.

Mr. Pezeshkian said that Iran has conveyed this message to the world so far, adding: “Instability and unrest in the region are not to the benefit of any of the countries and will put all of them into trouble.”

These remarks come one day after an attack by U.S. forces on Larak Island and Iran’s reciprocal attack on military targets of the United States in Jordan.

The Iranian president has traveled to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
