The total solar eclipse on 21 Mordad (12 August) will plunge parts of Greenland, Iceland, and Spain into darkness for a few minutes. In this image, researchers from the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco are seen preparing and installing three powerful telescopes in the village of Villalibado in northern Spain so that this phenomenon can be shown live to millions of people. This nearly deserted village offers one of the best locations for observing this solar eclipse.
