Qasim Rayanbakhsh, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Commission on Domestic Affairs, in an interview with IRNA, said that the United States should know that the Islamic Republic “is not alone in the global arena, and the effective presence of countries such as China and Russia alongside Iran will lead to the failure of the sanctions strategy.”

Rayanbakhsh said: “The recent action by the United States regarding the maritime blockade of Iran goes beyond a political decision; it is an inhumane act.”

The Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Commission on Domestic Affairs also added: “The Islamic Republic must, by adopting a firm approach in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab, and by preventing the passage of oil, increase pressure on the vital veins of the U.S. economy.”

He said about the “plan for Iran to control the Strait of Hormuz” that this plan should be brought to the floor of the parliament as soon as possible by the presidium so that the management of this strategic waterway will be “implemented fully in accordance with the laws and resolutions of the Islamic Republic.”
