Reza Goharzad, journalist and political analyst, referring to the new secondary sanctions by the United States and the move against the branches of Egypt’s bank in the United Arab Emirates, said Washington has put pressure on banks that help the Iranian government with financial transactions, with the aim of isolating the Islamic Republic economically.
Pointing out that economic pressure alone will not lead to the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, he said that the overthrow of the government will ultimately be brought about by the Iranian people and through protests.
