🔻Saeed Fattahi, head of the football organization of Esteghlal Club, reported the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) opposition to hosting this team in Iraq and Uzbekistan.

🔹Referring to his recent consultations with the head of the AFC’s Competitions Committee, Fattahi said that Esteghlal’s proposal to choose either Iraq or Uzbekistan as a neutral venue was rejected, and the final decision regarding the location of the matches has been postponed to the next few hours.

🔹At present, Iranian football representatives are deprived of the right to host on their own soil due to the political and security conditions in the region, and must hold the Asian competitions in another country.
