But while more than 300 churches in the area meet the spiritual needs of the 58,000-person city of Kingsport, there is another institution that also gives a boost to the city’s economy.

The U.S. Army’s Holston Ammunition Plant, amid America’s costly and long-running war with Iran, produces the explosives used in Patriot missiles, warheads, and other heavy weaponry.

This war and its repercussions on everything—from fuel prices to food—have led to a significant decline in the popularity of Donald Trump, the president of the United States.
