Data from oil-tanker tracking companies shows that the supertanker “Majestic X,” which was seized in the Indian Ocean in early Farvardin after U.S. military forces boarded it, is now moving toward Texas.

At the time of the seizure, the United States said the ship is stateless and is on the list of U.S. sanctions and is carrying 1,880,000 barrels of oil. The value of this amount of oil in global daily markets is about $200 million.

Data from Kpler and Shipnext indicates that the large tanker has departed from Sri Lanka and is heading to its destination, the port of Galveston in the U.S. state of Texas.

So far, U.S. and Islamic Republic officials have not responded to the matter.
