🔸The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly says that raising gasoline prices by the Masoud Pezeshkian government “is not a calculated measure,” because, according to him, the “enemy” has “planned” for this issue.
🔸Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, on Tuesday, 26 Mordad, in his remarks before the agenda of the parliament, claimed that “based on information, apparent and hidden, the enemy is on the lookout to create unrest and combine it with military operations such as assassination and separatist actions.”
🔸Without offering a solution, he emphasized that the problem of gasoline shortages must be resolved through comprehensive and very smart planning, in a way that “creates the greatest justice and the least dissatisfaction among the people.”
🔸On 25 Mordad, Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president, while acknowledging the impact of the United States’ naval blockade on Iranian ports, said that the route for importing goods into Iran has been blocked and that the government does not have the necessary resources to import gasoline.
🔸According to the latest figures published by the Iranian government, daily fuel production in the country is over 115 million liters, while consumption has reached 129 million liters, indicating a shortfall of 14 million liters.
