🔶 Tehran Friday Prayer Imam says talks with the United States are ruled out until “Khamenei’s conditions” are met
Mohammad Javad Haj-Ali Akbari, the Friday prayer imam in Tehran, on 27 Shahrivar, called the “military field” situation of Iran “good” and said that as long as all the conditions announced by Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, are fulfilled, talks with the United States are out of the question.
According to Tasnim, he spoke of the “complete oversight of the fighters over the battlefield” and added that the Islamic Republic’s management of the Strait of Hormuz has meant that “no one” can pass through this waterway without Iran’s permission.
Haj Ali Akbari claimed: “The enemy is down on its knees and sends intermediaries [to arrange talks].”
He also called the Houthis’ control of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait a “dream” that has come true.
In a 10-point plan attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, the conditions for talks with the United States are included, including a controlled crossing of the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iran’s armed forces, an end to the war against Iran’s proxy forces, the withdrawal of US combat forces from the region, and full payment of Iran’s war damages.
