🔶 "Israel and Kuwait are holding secret negotiations about regional cooperation"

On Thursday evening, the Israeli network Kan News, citing an informed source, reported that amid Iran’s sporadic attacks on this Gulf state, Kuwait and Israel are holding talks away from public view about regional cooperation.

One of Kuwait’s former government ministers told the network: “If the Gulf countries cooperate with Israel to contain their common enemies and to preserve the security and stability of these countries, this will be a win-win situation.”

The former Kuwaiti minister also said: “There is no longer any reason to ask who the enemy of the Gulf countries is—whether it is Iran or Israel—especially given Iran’s continued attacks on the Gulf countries, while Israel targets Iran and destroys many of its military capabilities that could have been used against its neighbors.”

Yossi Shelly, Israel’s ambassador in the United Arab Emirates, had previously said that another country is expected to join the Abraham Accords within the next few months. He also said: “Maybe Kuwait will be the next country.”
