🔸The Qods Headquarters of the IRGC Ground Forces confirmed on Wednesday, the first of Mehr, that Brigadier Commander Hossein Zarefi, commander of the Martyr Sajad Operations Headquarters in Saravan, was killed in a shooting by armed individuals.

🔸According to the Halvosh website, which covers news related to Sistan and Baluchestan, in this clash—which lasted several hours on Wednesday—another IRGC member was also killed, and “at least 13 military and security personnel” were injured.

🔸Earlier, the Qods Headquarters had referred to these armed individuals as “terrorists” in a statement and announced that five of them had been killed, some had been arrested, and “a number of weapons and some quantities of ammunition were discovered from the hideout of this team.”

🔸So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the shooting in the Jihadabad area of Saravan.

🔸In recent weeks, clashes between government forces and armed individuals in this area have increased.

🔸In the early hours of Saturday, 21 Shahrivar, after the entry of dozens of military and security forces into the area, fighting began, during which three members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and four armed individuals were killed.
