🔸Speaking at the “David S. Mack Center for Education and Information” in Nassau County, New York, Donald Trump said: “After we finish our work of defeating Iran—a country that is very badly losing—I will very soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as the territory of the United States.”

🔸According to Fox News, he also said that he used the military “a bit more than what I wanted,” but argued that pressure on Tehran to prevent the Iranian regime from obtaining nuclear weapons is necessary.

🔸Since the start of the U.S. and Israeli attacks on 9 Esfand last year, Iran has disrupted the Strait of Hormuz by blocking it or interfering with maritime traffic in the vital waterway, targeting commercial vessels.
