Today, at my instruction, Dr. Mehmet Oz announced that Medicaid will no longer cover the costs of sex-change surgeries and hormone therapy for people under the legal age. We are not going to pay for surgeries and brutal actions for our innocent children that inflict unimaginable and irreversible harm on their young bodies. Thanks to our firm stance and the pressure we have applied on this issue over the past 1.5 years, dozens of hospitals across the United States have already stopped this so-called “gender-affirming care,” and we expect many more to follow suit. Just think of all the young, innocent children who may be confused and will be spared from these actions! While the Democratic Party wants your children to have their reproductive organs cut off before they even reach the voting age, President Donald J. Trump (me!) and the Republican Party say that this is nonsense and that we will protect America’s children. Please remember this when voting in the midterm elections in November.
